Proprietary PC's

Proprietary PC's.jpg

Working with proprietary chassis and their internal components can be a challenge at times. If parts must be replaced (power supply supplies, liquid cooling fan, DVD Drives or motherboards, ) you now face the issue of sourcing the parts which can be time-consuming and expensive.

You can call the manufacture of the PC and sometimes can purchase parts directly from them or they will suggest that you ship the computer to them for repair. This can be an expensive option and shipping your computer away for repair for an extended period of time isn’t feasible. Sometimes used parts can be sourced through third-party companies which aren’t always desirable, as the quality of the part may come into question.

If at all possible when shopping for a new computer, ask if parts can be easily sourced if they are faulty. Working with proprietary chassis and their internal components can be a challenge at times.
